Itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Middle Atlas – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Meet your professional driver/guide and start your journey toward the Sahara. Your route passes through the cedar forests of Ifrane, famously nicknamed “The Switzerland of Morocco.” Enjoy scenic stops to observe friendly Barbary macaques near Azrou, followed by lunch in Midelt.

Continue through the dramatic landscapes of the Ziz Valley, arriving in Merzouga, gateway to the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes. Overnight stay in Merzouga.

Day 2: Sahara Exploration & 4X4 Desert Adventure

Experience a full day exploring the Sahara region by 4x4. Visit nomadic communities, explore fossil sites, enjoy traditional Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and savor a local specialty “Madfouna” (Berber pizza). Optional sunset camel ride and evening relaxation at the camp.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Depart Merzouga after breakfast and travel through Rissani Market, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. Continue to Todra Gorges, a stunning canyon popular with climbers. After exploring the gorge on foot, head to the peaceful Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Travel along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a filming location for Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi N’Tichka Pass before reaching vibrant Marrakech, where your 4-day adventure concludes.
